A trip to the zoo is not that bad at all because I like it the least. But with friends, it is an interesting visit.

One day, we did hit the road and drove to Al Ain! Where the Zootopia of UAE is. A very nice place for family and friends alike.

Lava X8Q is only available in Black

★★ Lava is a mobile phone company which is founded in India, most of its production is in China like most phones do. They are one of those company that sells no camera and no GPS smartphone which is called X8S.

By the looks of Lava X8Q, it has a pretty decent style with polished glossy black front bezel and back with silver accent (front lower bezel and sides).

However build quality is not as premium as it looks. Well at least for a phone costing from 300 to 350 AED, its not bad at all. It is definitely not gorilla glass but instead an Asahi Dragontail glass which I personally don't know.

What bring this phone competitive with Lenovo's A6000 is its camera. With 5 Megapixels front, any regular person taking selfies will actually admire this candy-bar phone.

Its unique feature also is the magic gesture which can be toggled from the notification area by swiping from top left area of the screen downwards. This will open the gesture panel in which firstly you can setup your gesture to whatever actions on the list provided that you'd like to activate. Per experience, I suggest you do a simple one-stroke character so the phone will easily detect and would not cause any inconvenience to you.

Please do not expect too much on its 2500MAh of battery. Do mind how you use your phone. I've done a test run and for normal users it can have 5hours for standby plus 2 hours for whatsapp with facebook on a Wifi connection. But on a data connection, a consecutive facebook using will only be 1-2hours.

My verdict.

This phone's quality is not in par with Samsung's entry level android phone, but if this sells only for 300AED then yes it is a good deal. Decent front camera.

In today's age, we like to be immersed in whatever digital content we see in the internet.

In my case, I like to log myself in to Second Life.

Second Life is a product of Linden Labs, which allows users to create their personas or avatars and interact with each other in a virtual world. The good thing about this is that you can also create whatever things you like and maybe share or sell it to other avatars.

The virtual world is so massive that other people are making income out of it. Of course if you want to experience the best 3D add-ons you also need to spend a dime.

It is like having an alter ego online, you like to do some crazy things which you can't do in real life. Or just plain playing.

Party is always around and in every genre. Some in the beach, others in the sky boxes.

I had fun doing a tour in whatever place I can think of. Such as the world of Pandora from the movie 'Avatar' by James Cameron. It was funny observing that within an avatar is another avatar trying to do a roleplay. Most of the time, I just troll around and ask random questions.

In my 6 years of avatar existence, I have enjoyed the idea that a lot can be done in a virtual world.

Good news for Android Users! I just recently discovered this application called Opera Max.

I've known Opera as a browser and it does compress images on any website so it is faster and loads quickly. But since internet speeds has improved over the years, we sometimes disregard adding more tools for quick website loading time.

Now, we have improved mobile data, but there is a catch, A limited data plan. So, when I tried to search online for some solution to extend more of my data plan, I found this Opera Max. Its description fit to my requirement so I installed it and used it. It compresses your internet consumption so it will give you more spare MBs.

Additional feature that I also found is that it also works like a VPN, because it connects to its own server. I don't know how it does, but it allowed me to use Messenger Video Call which is banned here in the UAE.

And the best part is, Opera Max is for free. Now, I just have to use it for some time and get back to this post for a review.

To showcase the capacity to hold a retail mania, Dubai is again attracting the people of the world to come, visit, and enjoy the incredible deals.

What a great way to start the new year with Dubai Shopping Festival 2016. May it be in Electronics, Fashion, or Jewelry, people are going to be hyped with dropping prices and exciting offers.

During my two weeks experience as a salesperson in mobile phones, people are crowding in to check on their particulars and see whether it has gone down or has better offerings from other shop then they make a purchase. It is usually jam packed on weekends and lesser on weekdays, also considering that everyday is not payday. But still, the amount of business generated through this festival helps inclination in sales.

Since Dubai doesn't rely on oil, an event like this creates a buzz globally and generates more tourist which will turn into income.

Compared to the country I'm from, this festival is really giving off good discounts and offerings. Because, back there, I don't really see price drop and good offers, only old stocks and some non-moving products.

DSF will end on 1st of February. At the time of writing, we still have 2 more weeks to indulge the wonders of shopping.

If you are one of those people like me that watches UK X-Factor, you should possibly know the four "pocket rockets" from the Philippines that raised the roof of the Wembley Arena in London during their audition.



Although they were not new to contests, it was still a great milestone to have reached UK audiences. Not to mention that the famous show produces really good talents that are still successful at this time being.

As for me, their last performances were perfect but I was expecting a little more different because I kind of heard it somewhere in some parts of the internet, specially Youtube. Yes it was very polished, but I didn't like the songs chosen. Well I'm no professional, its only my personal opinion.



Lauren Murray on the other hand has this vocal power to really get you confused on who should stay. I guess, that is the same reason the judges were on 'deadlock', leaving the decision to the public's vote. I like how Lauren pulled that 'You don't own me...' song, however I wish there was more body language.



I kind of agree to Cheryl's opinion on how she think the British audience responded that maybe it was because the girls (4th Impact) were too perfect that it felt a little 'perfect'. So, Lauren was spared and 4th Impact was out.





I'm still a fan of the 4th Impact. No worries with their careers because they have already showcased their talents to the world. Opportunity will come their way for sure.

Cebu is one of those cities that I have fell in love with. It is fresh, fashionable, and simply the kind of hustle and bustle that gives you peace at the same time.

One of the city's highlights is its annual festivity to honor Sr. Sto. Niño. People will crowd the Basilica Minor of Sto. Niño in Cebu City, Philippines. They pray and give thanks to child Jesus.

Different activities are held on this occasion. This includes Miss Cebu, which is one of the prestigious beauty pageant in the country. The firework contest and exhibitions from SM and Ayala malls gives night-walkers' their fill.

But one grand occasion defines it all, the Sinulog festival-- the Grand Parade.

Streets will start to get busy, major roads connecting to Fuente all through-out the Basilica will be closed and people will start to fill it to witness the floats and dancing.

Contingents from different part of the country participate in this street dancing competition organized by the city. It was an amazing experience seeing colorful costumes and props turned into art by traditional dances.

People at night becomes more saturated in General Maxilom area where clubs and street parties are raving. This includes a lot of alcohol and casualties. So a tip, be a responsible person and stay away from things that can ruin your experience.

Schedule of activities are usually ready for people to view two months prior of the said month event. Before I usually take the time to reblog the schedule from the committee's website and facebook page.
